Why I'm raising Money: I'm supporting Blesma, who do such great work with veterans who have lost limbs serving their country. However, I'm also supporting a local charity in the Fylde, 'Get Dan Home'. Dan is a teenager who is currently having to stay in a children's hospital in Manchester as he has complex medical needs which can't be catered for at his parents' present home. Funds are being raised to try to allow them to buy a suitable property which would enable Dan to be cared for at home - see www.gofundme.com/f/DanielFlemen for more details.
All donations are made to the Keswick to Barrow Walk Charity. A percentage of this donation will be used to fund the cost of the walk and support local charities in South Cumbria/North Lancashire. The remainder of the donation will be donated to the Walker's (Team) nominated charity(ies) as listed below.
