We offer an optional bus service called the Happy Bus, for a small extra cost which is payable when booking. Once booked, these Happy Bus seats are non refundable and are not transferrable, so make sure you need a seat before booking. 

Once your team has been APPROVED you can pay for a Happy Bus seat from your dashboard. You can either pay for your Happy Bus seat when you pay your non refundable/not transferrable proceesing fee, or you can return and do it later, via your dashboard.

From your dashboard you can review and update for your Happy Bus pick-up point at any time up to 3 weeks before walkday, after this the Happy Bus pick-up point will be locked out and Happy Bus booking service will be closed (this allows us time to plan and organise the bus timetable).

Buses start from various points, picking up at locations along the route as listed below. As these timings are very APPROXIMATE, make sure you are early, as the bus won't wait.

Please be aware that all buses do not stop at each location (most only pickup at a few locations). You must get on the bus at the location specified on your e-Bus Ticket.

We do NOT provide a return, post-walk, bus service, so please plan on how you will get back to where you are staying. To aid this we do offer a free Shuttle Bus at the finish, which runs between Thorncliffe Road (near Cliffe Lane) and Barrow Railway station from 13:30 until 20:30 on walkday. You can also, by request (to the driver), be dropped off at the Holiday Inn or Barrow Premier Inn. To use this service, please follow the Orange 'Shuttle Bus' signs from Hawcoat Park through the western exit (past the tennis courts) to Clliffe Lane. At the bottom end of Cliffe Lane turn right to wait at the Thorncliffe Road pickup point.

Bus tickets

Apart from the K2B Runners Bus, all Bus tickets are a Personalised e-Bus Ticket which will be emailed to the email address you are registered with on the Thursday Evening before the walk. Please note this mailing , which will start around 19:00, will take 3 to 4 hours to complete, so please be patient.

K2B Runners Bus

Contact K2B Registration to request a seat on the Runners Bus. You will need to be able demonstrate that you completed the K2B in the past in under 7 hours.

Pickup locations

Provisional bus pickup times for walkers are shown below. Please do not be late, and BEST TO BE EARLY. The bus will not wait, so if there is a spare seat, take it. Don't assume another bus will come.

There is a strict NO DOGS rule on the Happy Buses, except for assistance dogs. The bus operators will enforce this rule.
