The following documents are applicable to both the K2B and the C2B Walks. We recommend that the Team Co-ordinator takes responsibility for downloading these documents, providing all team supporters with copies, and briefing walkers and supporters on the team's walk day arrangements. We expect high standards of behaviour from walkers and supporters, to ensure that the event runs smoothly, and to preserve its excellent safety record.
Team Support Handbook
For detailed support instructions with route maps, please download and print this document. You should carry a copy of this document in each support vehicle, as mobile phone coverage in the Lake District is unreliable, so you may not be able to view it online. If you want to save the document as a PDF, we suggest that you download it from the website first, and then use your own standard print facility to create a PDF. The handbook is updated every year, and sometimes changes within a few days of the walk due to emergent problems on the route, so make sure that you print the latest version as close to walk day as possible.
Do not use a handbook from any other source, such as Facebook. Unofficial versions are circulating in a shorter format "to save paper", which are sometimes based on handbooks from previous years, or do not contain the latest maps and safety instructions. Please inform the walk organisers if you are offered an unofficial handbook, so that we can arrange for its removal.
Team Support Arrangements Form
This form can be downloaded and printed to enable you to record your team contact details. We suggest you give a photocopy of the completed form to each walker and support team member.
Team Support Vehicle Number
Please download and edit this template so that it shows the correct information for your team, and print a copy for prominent display in each support vehicle. The template is in RTF format, which is editable in Microsoft Word and other common word processors.
