Why I'm raising Money: Thank you for supporting the charity Every Life Matters. Every Life Matters are a Cumbrian suicide prevention and suicide bereavement support charity, who also provide people and businesses with free training and advice on how to support friends, family and colleagues who may be contemplating suicide. In 2022 there were 6,588 deaths registered in Great Britain where the cause was recorded as suicide. In Cumbria alone, about one person dies through suicide each week. In the last three years Every Life Matters have trained over 10,000 people across Cumbria in life saving suicide prevention skills and are expanding their work now into schools, providing suicide prevention, peer support and mental health training to pupils, teachers and parents. During the last three years they have also offered practical and emotional support to over 200 people bereaved or impacted by suicide in Cumbria. They are a small charity, and your donation will help support this great cause.
All donations are made to the Keswick to Barrow Walk Charity. A percentage of this donation will be used to fund the cost of the walk and support local charities in South Cumbria/North Lancashire. The remainder of the donation will be donated to the Walker's (Team) nominated charity(ies) as listed below.
